Love for Our Future is the Grand Hyatt Tokyo’s theme for the holiday season.
On Saturday 14 December the hotel will host an intimate concert in support of Refugee Empowerment International from 16.00. The concert by Andrew Tinashe Soda and his Choir will be open to all. Andrew says “Music is the language that every soul understands”.
The lobby of the hotel will be transformed into a winter forest with a grove of elegant white Christmas trees decorated with upcycled ornaments in line with the hotel’s Sustainable Development Goals. The ornaments are made from recycled champagne and wine corks as well as tiles decorated by disabled children living in care.
Volunteers from REI will be in attendance with donation boxes and information on the work of Refugee Empowerment International.
Andrew is a professional singer who has been active in Tokyo since 2003. He did backing vocals for Yoasobi’s Idol song in 2023 and backing vocals for Da Pump in 2022.
