Nina studied Strategic Communications and Creative Writing at Seattle University and later completed a Master’s degree in Social Anthropology at SOAS, University of London. She has built her career in Japan across intercultural communication, tourism, regional and community development. She is also the founder of G.K. Cataldo Global Connections, My Myoko, and Hafu Ladies. Her experience includes working as an interpreter aboard Peace Boat’s global voyage and with Fuji Rock Festival. Now based in Myoko, Niigata, she works closely with local communities, international residents and visitors. She joined the Board of REI in 2023.
