Mete got a B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in Turkey before receiving his MBA from International University of Japan in 1996. He worked as a leader in various foreign companies in Tokyo until 2018. Mete met with REI when he was studying for his NGO Management Certification at Temple University Continuing Education Program in 2010. He has been in the Funding Committee Meeting since then. His involvement with REI took him to Nairobi, a trip that has become a turning point in his career. Mete is now working as an Executive Coach and Trainer. He is also a part-time lecturer at Temple University Continuing Education Program and Rikkyo University.
