On January 5, just after the start of the new year, we spoke with the project leaders of the Kindergarten in Wadi Zayne in Lebanon, where refugee children like Janna attend. We learned that for the children there, violence and trauma are not anomalies, but the standard. To ensure that refugee children can adjust to a normal way of life of attending school, making friends, socializing, and learning, the Kindergarten hires professionals who are skilled in providing psycho-social support for vulnerable children. Your donations are delivered to the Kindergarten through REI to fund the hiring of these essential professionals. Because of you, our supporters, these children have the opportunity to move on to higher education in Lebanon.
