REImagining the Future

The 2025 REI gala n 21 March raised ¥7.5 million!  

The theme REImagine the Future resonates with so many of us as things are changing around the world. It was an evening to think about priorities and recognise how refugee communities are continually reimaging their future.

Despite lower numbers than last year, the atmosphere was amazing in the elegant surroundings of the Conrad Tokyo.

Guests were impressed at the video footage from the field along with inspiring stories from REI volunteers, ambassadors and supporters.

Some highlights of the evening included:  

• Video presentations of interviews from beneficiaries we met on recent field visits to Thai-Myanmar border and Nairobi. 
• Team members who joined the field visits shared their experiences of seeing first-hand how professional and effective the programs are.  
• Exciting prizes, included 5 nights’ catered stay in a beautiful residence in Acapulco, round-trip tickets on Delta airlines and lots of hotel stays
• The British Embassy taiko team kept guests alert with their amazing performance and the evening closed with music from Ozeki

Thanks to our generous wine supporters, Errazuriz and Arboleda, guests had a variety of wine to taste.

We will be distributing the funds raised to the five projects we fund as we assess the requirements in the next six months.
