Light Up the Life of a Refugee Child was a yearly concert until 2021, organized by children for children to highlight the plight of refugee children around the world. The concert was hosted at St Mary’s International School Tokyo and professionally directed by Randy Stenson, a long time supporter of REI.
Students from several schools in the Tokyo area participated and shared their musical talent. Schools that have participated include St. Mary’s International School, Seisen International School, Junten Junior and Senior High School, and the American School in Japan.

Art and music are important parts of our everyday lives, just as they are for those who are displaced from their homes. In the concerts students from many different backgrounds and cultures expressed themselves through song and dance to support refugee children across the world, and listened to stories of children who were able to restore their lives with the support of REI.

Proceeds from the concert including ticket sales and your generous donations supported refugee children displaced from their homes to reach their potential and advance towards their dreams.
