This project will provide WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Health) and psychosocial services to 600 families living in off-camp locations of the Peshawar district of Pakistan whose members include widows, older persons or persons with disabilities.
This project will restore and conserve the environment for returnees in villages and primary schools in Kitgum and Lamwo districts in Uganda. Fifty households and four primary schools will be supported to establish and manage wood lots, orchards and vegetable gardens.
This project will conduct eye care outreach missions in refugee camps in Chad. Christian Blind Mission (CBM), together with local partners, has been conducting these missions to refugees, internally displaced persons (IDP) and local communities in Chad since 2007.
Refugee Empowerment International has an ongoing partnership with Lutheran World Federation (LWF) to support environmental rehabilitation in Uganda.
The emergency eye care outreach missions for refugees, IDPs and local communities in Chad will provide eye surgeries, medical support and train health care personnel in the detection and prevention of eye disease. In one outreach mission 2000 individuals will be provided with direct assistance and another 90 individuals will be provided training.
This project in Kitgum district of northern Uganda aims to support environmental rehabilitation around Internally Displaced Persons’ (IDP) camps and in return areas through promoting the implementation of environmentally friendly activities.
This project addressed the psycho-social and developmental needs of children exposed to trauma during the war and the recent fighting in Nahr Al Bared Camp between Fateh Al Islam and the Lebanese army.
The goal of this project is to support the environmental rehabilitation process in and near IDP and refugee camp sites and in the return areas by undertaking environmentally friendly activities.
In 2007, Lebanon hosted more than 450,000 Palestinian refugees. In May of that year, an intense conflict in Tripoli, north Lebanon, spread to Naher el Bared camp causing 30,000 Palestinian refugees to flee their homes and take refuge in nearby camps.
This funding provided for the construction of a school in Coope community for those originally displaced in Coope camp. The new school would ease congestion in existing school.
