REI hosted an online adventure into food traditions and shared culture with Chef Musa Dağdeviren in Turkey. Chef Musa is a world-renowned chef. His vision of a borderless food culture uniting humanity throughout its civilization was at the core of the event.

What I cherish my internship with REI/RIJ the most is that this experience helped me discover my passion in humanitarianism and that I too, as an individual can make a difference through various means.
My experience with REI inspired me to become involved in the immigrant rights movement in the United States when I returned to Philadelphia from Tokyo. Ultimately, my time at REI inspired me to "think globally, act locally."
REI has had people from many different backgrounds. It doesn't matter if you're a graphic designer, software engineer, or music studies major, if the international humanitarian sector is something you feel passionate about I would highly recommend you join REI's pursuit to empower the refugees we serve through our programs.
For anyone considering applying for an internship at REI, my only advice is; just go for it! It is a great place to work and you will meet fun, inspirational and intelligent people. REI has a lot to offer

A cooking challenge you can enjoy even at home in your own kitchen! Participants had to think outside the box as they were given a limited list of ingredients to encourage thinking about what it takes to cook a meal in a refugee camp.
